Job Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Seoul, Korea. Sr.Manager of Buying is responsible for all buying, merchandising and business development in Korea.
Key Responsibility
Develop assortment strategy, in season performance, and market right product decisions for Korea
Translate global strategy into a Korea-specific product plan that meet market needs and competitive trends
Own OTB plan by category and by location per season and its execution to meet and exceed financial goals
Manage buying timeline that aligns with global GTM calendar
Perform Category analysis including sell-thru, forecasting, pricing and gross margin weekly and monthly basis
Communicate with HQ for open order and on-time delivery window
Deliver critical market analysis to HQ including product strategies, retail KPIs, segmentation analysis, quarterly roadmaps, and in-season recommendations
Drive continuous market intelligence through assortment insights, product line requests
Frequent market/store visits to build future action plan
Provide each store with Brand information and quality product knowledge
Manage inventory OH systemically and structure the essential and carry-over
Requirements
Qualifications
10+ years extensive fashion retail buying and merchandising background in relevant roles
At least 5 years of proven leadership experience with strong people management capabilities
Strong business acumen with capability to make strategic, data-informed decisions and take calculated risks
Deep market and consumer insight, with strong awareness of product, style, and color trends
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and team-oriented mindset
Moral and communicates with honesty and kindness
